The newer model, the Zap It, the sunshine is on on a regular basis otherwise you flip it off & have to show it on manually once you go trying to find the little black bugs which might be driving you crazy. Perhaps mine is defective but I don't like that characteristic. I either have leave it on all day & drain the battery or I must take the time to show it on & then strive to search out the black critter that has been driving me loopy. The outline says "Press the activation button on your Zappify Bug Zapper brand zapper racket, and an indicator mild glows" I've tried it several times & there is no such thing as a mild glowing. I purchased 2 of them & will strive the other one right now to see if perhaps the first one I opened is perhaps defective. If the sunshine does not stay on on a regular basis on the 2nd one that may confirm the 1st one is defective. If the 2nd one stays on all the time then I will know that they're each most likely going back because I don't like leaving the sunshine on all the time. Ok, I've now tried both of the brand new ones & simply got & neither one has an indicator gentle that flows once you press the activation button & the LED mild stays on on a regular basis. My old one the light solely comes on while you press the activation button. So, my opinion is that this zapper took a step backwards by way of performance from the earlier model. The outline on the website is improper & it is unquestionably not as described. Waste of money! Add insult to damage & this item is non returnable & there's nothing listed on the Amazon webpage. |
