Most visitors begin their trip to Kings Canyon with visions of staring over the edge for the first time, and I'm no different – but my time guiding with Wayoutback Tours soon taught me that the canyon is a bit like a tough challenge – you don't get the special experience handed to you on a silver platter, you have to work for it.

Out here, there’s no phone signal, the state of your tyres is a bit of a issue, & those mosquitoes are as bold as the locals are welcoming at a country pub.
